Blackout is a dark humor thriller drama film about a young man whose life turns upside down when one fine day while going back to his home— he finds a truck flipped and weathered and all its items strewn across the street— all cash and gold! But, unfortunately, this all belongs to a dangerous mafia gang who are now targeting this young man. The film stars Vikrant Massey, Sunil Grover, Mouni Roy, and Jisshu Sengupta in prominent roles.
2. Phooli | 07 June 2024
Phooli is a fantasy drama film about a young school-going girl named Phooli who is eager to study a lot and make her name in the world. However, her current circumstances force her to leave her education midway. Unless she meets a magician— this magician comes to teach her the value of education and that magic only happens when you truly follow your heart.
3. Munjya | 07 June 2024
Munjya is a new horror comedy film directed by Dinesh Vijan (Stree and Bhediya fame). The film is inspired by the folk tales of Maharashtra, picking out one of their characters called Munjya. This male chudail attacks all those who are in love and get married. Munjya is the evil spirit of a young man who is not able to get married and dies before losing his virginity. In this film, Munjya crosses paths with Abhay Verma and Sharvari Wagh’s characters who are soon getting married— unless, Munjya steals the bride!
4. Gadera | 10 June 2024
Gadera is an action thriller film set in the year 1912, the film is based on real events. The movie shows how greed tempts the British government to embark on the Himalayan regions and capture them. But the locals, the Kumaoni and the Garhwali try to stop them and when they don’t back down— a gruesome guerrilla warfare takes place.
5. Chandu Champion | 14 June 2024
Chandu Champion is a sports action drama film and one of the most eagerly awaited films of Kartik Aryan. He went through a dramatic transformation to fit into the role of Murlikant Petkar— the first Paralympic gold medallist of India. The film is directed by Sultan fame director, Kabir Khan. It shows the struggles that Murlikant aka Chandu faced not just as an athlete but also as a student, child, and an individual in society. He was a part of the 1965 troop that fought during the Indo-Pak war and sustained injuries of 9 bullets. Despite him being permanently disabled— he did not lose hope and won gold in the 5m freestyle swimming in 1972.
6. Emergency | 14 June 2024
A historical biopic based on the life of India’s first woman Prime Minister— Indira Gandhi. The movie focuses mainly on the incidents that happened during the 70s when she was the supreme leader of Indian democracy and continues till the year 1975 when the chaos ensued. The movie captures many inside stories and incidents that happened during Indira Gandhi’s time and how India worked under the leadership of one of the most powerful women of India (probably, she still is!).
7. Ishq Vishq Rebound | 28 June 2024
Ishq Vishk is a remake of the superhit rom-com drama of 2003— Ishq Vishq. While the original film starred Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao in the lead roles, the new film features Rohit Saraf and and Naila Grrewal as the lead pair. The remake tells the story of four youngsters who are trying to find the true meaning of love, friendship, and self-discovery in this complicated world of situationship, social media, and FOMO.
